Connect utility meters with Moj Elektro

When to use this connector
Use the Moj Elektro connector to import measurements for Slovenian measurement points. The option is available when the active account is configured for Slovenia.
You need:
- access to the relevant measurement points in Moj Elektro,
- a Moj Elektro API key, and
- one or more measurement point identifiers, commonly referred to as EIMM identifiers.
Follow the provider’s instructions to obtain access: Moj Elektro API instructions.
Treat the API key as a credential. Do not paste it into Chat, screenshots, email, or a guide. Enter it only in the connector’s API key field.
Open the connection wizard
- Confirm that the correct account is active.
- Open Inventory.
- Select Connect to… at the bottom-left of the site list.
- Choose Mojelektro.
If Moj Elektro is not listed, confirm that the active account includes Slovenia. If it still does not appear, contact the person responsible for the account configuration.
Step 1: Enter credentials and scope
On Credentials and scope:
- Paste the Moj Elektro key into API key.
- Enter the measurement point IDs in Measurement point IDs.
- Put each identifier on a separate line.
- Remove blank lines and accidental spaces.
- Select Next.
Use the measurement point identifier requested by the wizard, not a meter serial number, invoice number, or site name.
Step 2: Test the connection
The Connection test checks access and loads detected sites.
- Wait for testing and site preparation to finish.
- Review Detected sites and Verification errors.
- Confirm the site ID, name, address, country, and details for each result.
- If an ID failed, select Back, correct that identifier or the API key, and run the test again.
- Continue only when every required measurement point is detected.
A successful test confirms API access. It does not by itself prove that the full historical period you need is available.
Step 3: Link detected data to sites
On Site linking, decide where each detected measurement point belongs. Review how Vega organizes sites and components before linking if the inventory is unfamiliar.
For every row:
- Review and, if necessary, edit the detected name, country, and address.
- Use geocoding or enter latitude and longitude when location details are incomplete.
- Choose an action:
- Use suggested when Vega found the correct existing site.
- Create new when the measurement point belongs to a new site.
- Use new from wizard when several detected items should share a site being created in this wizard.
- Choose other to select a different existing site.
- Update existing meter when the inventory already contains the meter that should receive this connection.
- Check the Selected site value.
- Repeat for every detected measurement point.
- Select Next.
Avoid creating a new site merely because its name is formatted differently. Compare address, identifiers, and existing components first.
Step 4: Configure measurements
On Configuration, select what the measurement point should monitor:
- Reactive energy and power
- Energy consumption
- Energy production
Select only capabilities that apply to the measurement point. At least consumption or production must be enabled.
If Energy production is enabled and the site has solar PV, select Metering place has PV installation. The solar connection guide explains why accurate plant configuration matters. Complete the PV information shown by the wizard:
- Peak power (kWp) — installed DC peak power.
- System loss (%) — assumed total system losses.
- Tilt (deg) — 0° is horizontal and 90° is vertical.
- Azimuth (deg) — 0° north, 90° east, 180° south, and 270° west.
Use installation documentation for these values. Do not guess orientation or installed capacity; inaccurate properties weaken PV benchmarking.
Review any synchronization start-date option. A longer history provides more context but can take longer to import and remains limited by what Moj Elektro makes available.
Step 5: Review and finish
The Review page summarizes:
- detected connector sites,
- existing sites selected,
- new sites to create, and
- existing components to update.
- Check the new-site and existing-inventory tables.
- Confirm that every measurement point will be created or updated in the intended place.
- Use Back if anything is wrong.
- Select Finish only after the summary is correct.
- Wait for the wizard to complete.
Verify the connection
After finishing, perform these checks and then use the complete data-readiness guide before analysis:
- Refresh Inventory.
- Open the linked site.
- Open Components and locate the Moj Elektro component.
- Confirm its connector label and measurement point identifier.
- Open Measurements and check for recent consumption or production.
- Open the site Sync tab to review synchronization status.
- Check Health for warnings.
- Compare a known day or billing period with a trusted source.
If the component exists but has no data, check synchronization status, the configured capabilities, the requested history, and whether Moj Elektro exposes the period. Do not use an incomplete period for invoice reconciliation or trend comparisons.
Replace an expired or rotated API key
You do not need to run the connection wizard again when only the API key changes:
- Open the connected site in Inventory.
- Open Components and select the Moj Elektro measurement point.
- Select Settings, then Edit credentials.
- Review how many connected components will be affected.
- Enter the replacement API key.
- Select Verify and save.
- Check Sync, Health, and a recent period in Measurements.
Vega verifies access before saving. If the new key cannot access every affected component, the existing key remains in use. See Replace connector credentials for the shared safety checks.
