Connect utility meters with Energa
Table of contents
When to use this connector
Use the Energa connector to import measurements from Energa Mój Licznik for Polish points of energy consumption or production. The connector appears when the active account includes Poland.
You need:
- an Energa Mój Licznik username and password,
- access to the PPE measurement points you want to connect, and
- optionally, the PPE numbers if you want to import only selected points.
Treat the username and password as credentials. Enter them only in the connection wizard or the verified credential-update dialog. Do not put them in Chat, screenshots, email, or support notes.
Open the connection wizard
- Confirm that the correct Vega account is active.
- Open Inventory.
- Select Connect to… at the bottom-left of the site list.
- Choose Energa.
If Energa is not listed, confirm that the active account includes Poland. If it still does not appear, contact the person responsible for the account configuration.
Step 1: Enter credentials and scope
On Credentials and scope:
- Enter the Username used in Energa Mój Licznik.
- Enter the corresponding Password.
- To connect selected points, enter their numbers in PPE numbers, one per line.
- To discover every point available to the login, leave PPE numbers empty.
- Select Next.
Use the PPE number shown by Energa, not a meter serial number, invoice number, customer number, or site name. Remove accidental spaces and duplicate lines.
Step 2: Test the connection
The Connection test verifies the login and loads accessible PPE points.
- Wait for testing and site preparation to finish.
- Review Detected sites and Verification errors.
- Confirm the PPE, detected name, address, and other provider details for each result.
- If a requested PPE failed, select Back and check the credentials and PPE number.
- Continue only when every required point is present.
When the PPE field was left empty, compare the detected list with Energa Mój Licznik and exclude unintended points by going back and entering only the PPE numbers you need.
Step 3: Link each PPE to a Vega site
Use the site and component model to avoid duplicates. For every detected PPE:
- Review the detected name and address.
- Correct the country or address if necessary.
- Use geocoding or enter coordinates when location details are incomplete.
- Choose the appropriate action:
- Use suggested for the correct existing-site match.
- Create new when the facility does not exist in Vega.
- Use new from wizard when several PPE points should share a site being created in this wizard.
- Choose other to select another existing site.
- Update existing meter when the inventory already contains the component that should receive this connection.
- Verify Selected site.
- Repeat for every PPE and select Next.
Do not create a second site only because Energa formats the detected name or address differently. Compare the PPE, address, and existing component hierarchy first.
Step 4: Configure measurements
On Configuration, review the capabilities detected for each PPE:
- Energy consumption for imported energy,
- Energy production for exported energy, when the PPE supports it.
Energa does not provide the reactive-energy option in this workflow. Keep only capabilities that apply to the selected point, and make sure at least consumption or production remains enabled.
If production comes from an on-site solar installation, enable Metering place has PV installation and enter the plant properties from its design or commissioning documentation. See Connect a solar power plant for the meaning of peak power, loss, tilt, and azimuth.
Review the history start setting. A longer range can take longer to synchronize and remains limited by the data available from Energa.
Step 5: Review and finish
- Review the counts for detected PPE points, selected existing sites, new sites, and components to update.
- Check what will be created or updated under each site.
- Select Back if a site link or capability is wrong.
- Select Finish when the summary is correct.
- Wait for the wizard to complete.
Verify the connection
After finishing, perform these checks and then use the complete data-readiness guide:
- Refresh Inventory.
- Open the linked site and its Components tab.
- Locate the Energa component and confirm its PPE and connector label.
- Open Measurements and check recent consumption or production values.
- Open the site Sync tab and review synchronization status.
- Check site and component Health.
- Compare a known complete day with Energa Mój Licznik.
If the component exists but has no data, check the selected capabilities, synchronization status, requested history, and whether Energa exposes the period. Do not rely on an incomplete period for comparisons.
Replace an expired or rotated password
You do not need to reconnect every PPE when the Energa login password changes:
- Open a connected Energa component in Inventory.
- Select Settings, then Edit credentials.
- Review how many connected components will be affected.
- Enter the Username and replacement Password.
- Select Verify and save.
- Check Sync, Health, and recent Measurements.
Vega verifies access to every affected component before saving. If verification fails, the existing credentials are kept. See Replace connector credentials for the shared workflow.
